IHA Chelsea is a 17,739 s.f. medical office building located less than a half mile from Chelsea’s main business district. This project is a result of the desire to consolidate three existing medical practices and place them in a centralized location to better serve the healthcare needs of the community.
The floor plan is configured in a way to maximize and promote a team-based atmosphere. From the main entry, patients are greeted with a spacious, shared waiting room that filters back to carefully organized clinical areas. These areas are served by a large team area in the rear portion of the building to encourage collaboration between physicians and support staff.
The project utilizes brick to echo the Chelsea's historic downtown while introducing warm, modern materials such as aluminum composite panels and wood-look metal siding. On the interior, materials from the exterior are brought in to create synergy between exterior and interior, while also transitioning to cool, calming colors to promote patient wellbeing and health.
Transforming an empty field to a new medical office building, IHA Chelsea has created a fresh, modern, and healing environment while also promoting health and wellness for an ever-growing community.
